Community Guidelines
Last updated Oct 8, 2026
Draft for the beta. Parts marked “To be confirmed” are not decided yet, and parts marked “For attorney review” still need a lawyer. When the text is final, we will update this page and ask everyone to agree to the final version.
In short
- Torio is for people who work in security. Be honest and professional.
- No harassment, hate, threats, scams or sharing other people’s private information.
- Report anything that breaks these rules. We remove it, and repeat problems lead to a pause or a closed account.
These guidelines apply everywhere on Torio: profiles, posts, comments and discussions. Torio has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
Be professional
- Use your real name and describe your experience honestly.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, bullying, threats or hate.
- No sexual content, violence or graphic images.
- No spam, scams, recruiting for unlicensed work or requests for money.
Protect people and sites
- Do not share anyone’s personal information, or security details about a client, site or post orders.
- Do not post advice that could put someone in danger or break the law.
- Do not pretend to be another person, company or government agency.
- Post only photos and words you have the right to share.
Report and block
- Report a post, comment or profile from its menu. The person you report is not told who reported them.
- Block a member from their profile. You stop seeing each other, and any connection between you is paused.
- Mute a member to hide their posts from your feed without blocking them.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
- Reports go to Torio’s moderators. They can remove posts, comments and discussion posts, and they write down the reason for each decision.
- When a moderator removes your network post or comment, we tell you, and it counts as a strike. Removed discussion posts do not count as strikes.
- Three strikes within 90 days pause your account for 7 days, and each strike after that pauses it again. A moderator can also pause an account for up to a year.
- While your account is paused, you can still read Torio and edit your profile, but you can’t post, comment, react, follow, connect or change your photos.
- We tell you when your account is paused.
- We may close the account of anyone who abuses others or keeps breaking these rules.
If you think we got it wrong
Email help@jointorio.com. Say what was removed or paused and why you think it should not have been. How we answer and how long it takes: To be confirmed: appeal process.
